Terry Lynne Neale

Terry Lynne Neale entered into her eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, March 22, 2026. She was born in Myrtle Beach, but spent the majority of her life in the Pennsylvania and Delaware region, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and love. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Delaware and spent her career as a science teacher. In 1989 she married the love of her life, Chris Neale. Starting in 1993 she gave birth to three children within 2.5 years. Throughout their marriage, Chris and Terry prioritized raising their children to know and love Jesus Christ. Outside of spending time with family, Terry spent her free time updating her home, planning special vacations, serving in the children’s ministry at church, enjoying the family pool, and successfully finding unbelievable bargains. In 2023, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, to be closer to two of her children and her grandchildren. She often mentioned how grateful she was to live so close to her granddaughters and loved spoiling them. Terry’s life was a reflection of her deep love for Jesus, which guided her actions and relationships. Though she experienced many health trials, Terry was known for her kindness, humility, quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. Terry was preceded in death by her father, Neal Reed, and her grandson, Luke Benson McDonald. She is survived by her beloved husband, Chris Neale; her children, Rachel Bates (Steven), Rebekah McDonald (Mark), and CJ Neale (Lauren); her cherished granddaughters, Mia McDonald and Louisa Neale; her mother, Shirley Reed; and her siblings, David Reed (Amy), and Garry Reed (Theresa). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Triangle Community Church, 4216 Kildaire Farm Rd, Apex, NC. A visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, an online livestream will also be available. Terry will be deeply missed and forever loved. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” — Deuteronomy 6:6–7
