Patricia "Pat" Ann Riesett

April 24, 1929 - March 18, 2018

Patricia "Pat" Ann Riesett, 88, of Cary, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from terminal cancer. She was born on April 24, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland to William and Martha Scheihing. A consummate mother and homemaker, Pat was a good cook who loved entertaining family and friends. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed the collections at her local library. Pat's favorite thing to do was to play cards, especially the game "Crazy Rummy" and will forever be remembered by family and friends for her consistent winning at the game! Pat had an unwavering faith in God. She was a faithful member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cary, North Carolina. She volunteered at the Dorcas Ministries in Cary, North Carolina for over 20 years and established many fond friendships while spending her time there. Pat is pre-deceased by her husband Donald F. Riesett and her oldest son Thomas D. Riesett. She is survived by her sister, Jean Hallameyer, of Baltimore, Maryland. Pat is survived by her four children; Nancy Jones and her husband Lawrence, Mathew Riesett and his wife Carol, Claudia Cannata and her husband Gene, and her youngest son, Jonathan Riesett and his companion, Nancy Cline. Pat is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, Patrick, Chadwick, and Abigail Riesett, Gregory Riesett, Elizabeth Loftin and Alex Jones, Kate, Nick, Jack, and Peter Cannata, Anne Catherine and Charlie Riesett and her great grandchild Caroline Jones. A funeral mass celebrating Pat's life will be held Friday, April 6th, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 804 High House Road in Cary, North Carolina. Interment will immediately follow the mass at St. Michael's columbarium. The family will receive friends following the interment at Claudia Cannata's home located at 102 Finnway Lane, Cary, North Carolina.
