Nancy Jean Falter, 87, of Apex, NC, born January 22, 1934, to Raymond Port and Olga Jasper passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 after a brief illness. Mrs. Falter was an active community servant since moving to Raleigh, NC in 1965. She supported her children in their 4-H, Pony Club, Boy Scouts and other activities. As a long time employee of Wake County Public Schools, she had a positive impact on the lives of many children. After retiring Nancy volunteered at Wake Crisis Ministry food pantry until her 80th birthday. Mrs. Falter was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel and then St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Churches. Mrs. Falter is survived by her children; Peter Falter (Christine) of Orlando, Laura Zulueta (Emmanuel) of Apex, and Karl Falter of Apex; brother, Donald Port (Mary) of Richard Center of WI; grandchildren, John, Rebecca, David, and Sarah Falter and Anna and Catherine Zulueta. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh, Apex, NC Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11:00am. Prior to Mass, visitation will be in the church from 10am to 10:45am. Eulogy will be at 10:45am in the church. The service can be seen live streamed at https://youtu.be/G4lbk9piyHM.
