January 23, 1955 - June 22, 2019

Mary Ann Maynard passed away the morning of Saturday June 22ndafter a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Mary was someone who gave to all those around her in either time, experience or love. Mary is survived by her son Charles “Buddy” Maynard, grandson Austin James Maynard; sisters: Deborah Short, Elizabeth Jaremka, Kathleen Cartus, and Patricia Leslie; and brothers: Joseph Short, Kenneth Short, and Timothy Short. She was a school teacher by profession, mainly with Fort Bragg schools where she taught 3rd-graders of soldiers stationed on Fort Bragg, as well as the President of the Teachers Union. She also gave her gift of education to her community, family and church for many years. Please join us in celebrating the life and memory of this amazing woman who gave to so many.
