Lorine Masters Coulter
July 5, 1932 - November 21, 2018
Lorine was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky, on July 5, 1932 to the late Owen and Beatrice Masters. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, who adored her daughters and grandchildren. She was a devout Christian and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. She lived in Kentucky for most of her life, but later moved to Waltonwood senior living community in Cary. She was proud to be an "ambassador" at Waltonwood. She loved dressing up for Halloween, making others laugh and helping them find happiness. She painted beautiful pictures, most of which became gifts to friends and family. Lorine passed away on November 21st, 2018, at the age of 86, from bile duct cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, John C. Coulter, Jr, and her son, John C. Coulter III. She leaves behind two daughters, JoNell Benson (John), Cary, NC., and Rebecca Stapleton, (Greg), Lexington, KY., and two grandchildren, Julia Benson Efird (Richie), Cary, NC., and James Coulter Benson, Cary, NC. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Cary Waltonwood (750 SE Cary Parkway). The family would like to thank Megan Grady PA, and Dr. Surah Grumet (Doctors Making Housecalls), Legacy Healthcare Services and Transitions Life Care, for their assistance and compassionate care, in addition to the Waltonwood staff and residents who helped make the last years of her life so happy and special. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorine's name to the Boyle County Habitat for Humanity, 447 S 3rd Street, Danville, Kentucky, 40422, or to the Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
