Kit Hung Lo

July 6, 1965 - February 26, 2022

Kit Hung Lo passed away on February 26, 2022 at the age of 56 on the American Tobacco Trail in Cary, NC where he was going for a 20-mile run with his running buddies and son Wesley. He was born on July 6, 1965 in Hong Kong to the late Bun Hon Lo and Kwan Ying Leung. Kit lived in Hong Kong and New York prior to relocating to Cary for the last 32 years. Kit is preceded in death by his father Bun Hon Lo and brother Michael Lo. Kit is survived by his wife Audrey Lo of 31 years, sons Chris and Wesley Lo, mother Kwan Ying Leung, sister Dobi Lo, and brother Kit Lun Lo as well as his daughter-in-law Holly Lo and grandson Dean Lo. Kit was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather who showed selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love to everyone around him. His smile brought everyone joy and happiness, and he led by example and was an exemplary role model. No matter what anyone needed, he was always willing to help and was just a text or phone call away at any time of the day. Kit attended Stony Brook University in New York where he received a Masters in computer engineering and he worked at IBM for 32 years as a senior software engineer. Outside of work, Kit was an avid runner and took pride in his extensive display of his running medals. He loved to challenge his personal bests and enjoyed beers at Bond Brothers with his running buddies. Kit was working towards completing a full marathon this year. At home, Kit loved to give his wife Audrey sentimental gifts and raised his sons to have good hearts and show consideration to others. Kit was very well-loved and will be dearly missed by everyone around him.
