Dr Jerry Lemle Hudson

Jerry Lemle Hudson, Ph.D., peacefully passed January 7th, 2016 at the age of 75. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Jerry graduated from Coral Gables High School and earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the University of Miami. As a research scientist in academia and the biotechnology industry, he made groundbreaking contributions towards technology, health, and science. His passions included boating, fishing, and traveling. He will be remembered for his infinite enthusiasm for life, his abundance of knowledge, and his everlasting devotion towards family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife Birgitta Hudson of 47 years, 6 children, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grand children, sister, aunt, niece, and nephew. Services to celebrate his life will be held Friday, Jan 15th from 2-3pm at St. Michael Catholic Church, Cary, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Jerry's honor.
