Jean Carolyn Harris Howard

Carolyn passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020 after a brief illness. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Cary, NC and a resident of Carpenter, NC. She worked many various jobs during her lifetime, however her life was devoted to her family as a homemaker and caretaker in which she got her greatest satisfaction. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many people. Carolyn is survived by her 2 daughters, Brenda Hurst & spouse Donnie, Teresa McClenny & spouse Eric, 2 very loved grandsons, Corbin & Dane, Brothers, Curtis Harris & wife Janice, Billy Harris & wife Jo, Gerald Harris & wife Sandy, Joe Harris & wife Trudy, sister, Donna Guy, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of nearly 58 years Allie Martin Howard Jr, Parents Woodrow Harris & Mable Holland Harris, sister Betsy Sykes and brother in law David Guy. Carolyn was an exceptional cook and cooked everything her husband would grow in his garden. She loved our big family cookouts and would always be the last to leave. She was a remarkable listener and confidant to family and friends. She loved her church and all of her community friends from Carpenter. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all that knew her.
