Francis R. "Frank" Dailey, age 55, passed peacefully with dignity Sunday morning at home, January 26, 2020 holding hands with his devoted and loving wife by his side. Frank bravely fought pancreatic cancer with courage and strength since July 2019. His determination and resilience along with his hope to find a cure never wavered. Frank was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran serving from 1982-1986 stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Frank's interests included reading novels, watching Sci-Fi movies and The Game Show Network, and enjoying good food and conversation while in the company of his family and friends. Frank led a simple life based upon the principles of care and concern for others. Frank was happy being surrounded by animals so much so that he was an active volunteer with Cat Angels Pet Adoptions in Cary, NC. Frank was a kind and gentle soul who helped many people in their time of need. Frank is survived by his wife, Denise Marie Wysincavage Dailey, his mother Eileen Teri Armour, Leesburg, Florida, in-laws Barbara (Rakowsky) Wysincavage and Albert Wysincavage, Frackville, Pennsylvania, sister in-law Kelly Plye (Edward), Westampton, New Jersey, nephew & niece Aaron & Taylor Plye, aunt Barbara Fleischmann, Alabama, many cousins, friends, and faithful fur-companions Lacey & Rusty. He is predeceased by his father, Ross T. Dailey; maternal grandparents, George H. and Margaret M. (Tomei) Armour; great grandmother "Noni" Vincenza (Napoli) Tomei; aunt, Margaret "Peggy" (Armour) Dalton; cousin, Sean Dalton; and pets Jigger & Stinky. A special thank you to the staff at UNC REX Hematology Oncology Associates and Hospital for their compassionate and loving care of Frank and his family during his treatment. The support from close friends Bill, Colby, Jerrod, Paul, Jim Townson, and neighbors Gallagher's & Pillai's throughout this journey. Frank is dearly missed by those who loved and knew him. Cremation service is private. Burial with military honors is private due to COVID-19 attendance is limited.
