Beverly Ann Roberts

October 27, 1947 - June 13, 2022

Beverly Ann Roberts, 76, of Raleigh, NC (formerly from Marianna, PA) peacefully passed from this life on June 13, 2022. Beverly was born on October 27, 1945 to Katherine (Kay) Gusoff Roberts. She grew up in the Kirbytown Hill section of Marianna and was among the first graduating classes at Beth-Center high school. Beverly taught science in the Pittsburgh Public Schools before moving to Raleigh, NC in the 1980’s. There, she worked as a technical writer for IBM until her retirement. Beverly was blessed with many friends in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina who shared her interests in reading, movies, outdoor concerts, world travel and good eating (though Bev would tell you that she only liked eating, not cooking!). Family left to remember Beverly include her cousins Sheila (Mike) Littlefield of Kennebunk, ME, Dianne Muchant (Robert Hazard) of Lewisburg, PA, Cynthia (Joe) Kane of Venice, FL, Carolyn (Roman) Taraban of Pittsburgh, PA and their children. Beverly now joins her mother and grandmother (Bertha Payanoff Gusoff), her Aunt Marion and Uncle Bob Muchant, her cousin Anita Muchant, and other friends and family in an eternal celebration. The family would like to thank Trish Cook of Cook Care Management for providing care coordination over the past several years, and to Angelic Thomas and the staff at Avendelle at Waterford Landing in Raleigh for providing daily care to Beverly during her final months. As per Beverly’s wishes, cremation of her remains will be conducted by Wake Funeral and Cremation Services in Cary, NC. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to do so may honor Beverly’s memory with a donation to the Marianna Community Public Library 247 Jefferson Ave., Marianna, PA 15345 or to a charity of choice.
