Ara Rebecca Davis

June 21, 1928 - October 10, 2015

Ara Rebecca Davis, 87, went to be with her Lord and family on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was the last child of Ara Esther Lewter and Charles Condon Davis and was also preceded in death by her sister Alva Jane and brothers, Charles Leon and Arnold Boone Davis. She is survived by her niece, Joyce Davis of Cary, and many loved cousins and friends. She was retired from Liggett Myers Tobacco Company where she worked for 37 years. She spent the last 15 years with her niece, Joyce, taking day trips to the mountains and beach. She acquired a strong love for a certain cat, Pretty Boy, and spent most of her time with him until he passed at the age of 22 years. She will be greatly missed by her niece and cousins and by a wealth of good friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 1288 Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Rd, Apex, NC 27523 on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 with a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
