Allie Martin Howard passed away peacefully on October 18, 2020 after a short illness. He was a retired truck driver for Watkins Motor Lines with more than 25 years accident free driving, a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, and lifetime resident of Carpenter, NC. Martin is survived by the love of his life, wife Jean Carolyn Harris Howard, 2 daughters Brenda Hurst and spouse Donnie, Teresa McClenny and spouse Eric, 2 very loved grandsons, Corbin and Dane and Brother Johnny Howard and wife Dale. He is also survived by many other brothers in-law and sisters in-law, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Allie Martin Howard Sr and Mozelle Sears Howard, 3 sisters, Betty Cartrette, Patty Cartrette and Jackie Grey. Martin was a superb gardener and loved sharing his crops with all his neighbors, friends and family. He was a carpenter in the 70’s and built his home at the end of his parents farm where he raised his family. He was a hunter in his earlier years and in his later years he really enjoyed fishing every chance he could get. Martin was for the most part a quiet man, but he did like to be a little mischievous when he could. He has some very special friends in his community and loved each one of them. He had such a giving heart and taught his family so much about everything cause he always had an answer to most questions he was asked. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all that knew him.
