Albert Larry Sterling

February 24, 1939 - September 20, 2021

Albert “Larry” Sterling passed away on September 20, 2021 in Cary, NC at the age of 82 . He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Sterling of Lewistown, IL. Larry is survived by his three children, Lance Sterling (Jennifer) of Canyon Lake, Texas; Cord Sterling of Stafford, Virginia; and Shanda Bytomski (Jeff) of Morrisville, North Carolina. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren: Wyatt, Jarek, Logan, Trevor, Alyssa, Alexandra, Sofia and Olivia. Larry was born on February 24, 1939, in Porterville, California to Albert W. Sterling and Helen (Edwards) Sterling. He graduated from Porterville High School. Larry married Nancy Gilkerson on September 9, 1961 and they had three children together. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Larry operated a motor grader for over 40 years. He and Nancy managed their own business to support their family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, touring with Nancy around the country in their bus and golfing. Larry’s family and friends will always remember him as a kind man that loved his family. A funeral will be held on September 25, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the courtyard behind Crosspointe Church, 6911 Carpenter Fire Station Road, Cary, NC 27519. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Larry’s life.
