Stephanie Ruth Aivaz

Stephanie Ruth Aivaz was born September 30, 1944 and passed peacefully at age of 80 on April 27, 2025 in Duke University Hospital. To meet Stephanie was to love her. She had a way of connecting with people that was amazing. She had a zest for life and was a free spirit that connected to everyone she met along her journey, right up until her last moments. She was spiritual and felt connected to God in a way not dictated by traditional laws or rules as evidenced by her favorite bible text, The Book Of Ruth. She may not have had a traditional relationship with faith but found God in nature, people and everyday life. She believed her time on this Earth was leading to something greater. She believed herself to be but a small part of a bigger picture. Stephanie lived many lives, as she liked to say. She never stopped learning from or experiencing life. Stephanie did not know limits. Her many careers were book keeper, coast guard certified captain, school bus driver, artist, author, real estate agent, licensed wildlife rehabilitator, mother and wife. Her hobbies included crocheting beautiful blankets and crafts, drawing for her family, celebrating life’s moments with a shot of Jameson’s and meeting & feeding new people. Stephanie’s culinary skills were enjoyed by all. Her most proud accomplishment was that of mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Married to Aniello (Neal) Falcone in 1963 she created a family. She is survived by her three children: daughter Donna Boonjamalik and her husband Aim of Beacon NY, daughter Bridget Boucher and her husband Glenn of Hyde Park NY, and son Neal Falcone and his wife Sandi of Apex NC; her grand children Paul Carcaramo and his wife Bianca, Dominic Fauci, Natalie Boucher and Glenn Boucher Jr. as well as her great grandaughter Sarina Carcaramo. In 1985 she married again to Joseph Aivaz and bonded with his children Mark Aivaz, Faun Elzein, David Aivaz, and especially Susan Schindler. Stephanie Aivaz is remembered lovingly by her family and all who met and knew her. Her cooking and joy for life will be missed by all. At this time a memorial service has not been set.
