Lance Corporal Isaac Callisto Scott

Lance Corporal Isaac Callisto Scott, twenty-three years old, of Apex, NC, went home to be with His Lord and Savior on July 6, 2021. Isaac was born to Montie and Xochitl Scott on November 4, 1997, in Dallas, TX. He was homeschooled and graduated in June 2016. Among many notable accomplishments, during his high school years, Isaac worked at the local Chick-fil-A where he was admired for his strong work ethic and kindness toward others and was awarded employee of the month. He went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corps and was sworn in on January 3, 2017, at the age of nineteen. He graduated from boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina, on March 31, 2017, and completed School of Infantry training on June 15, 2017. Lance Corporal Isaac C. Scott was based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina while serving on active duty. During that time, he was deployed to Spain, Italy, and North Africa. Isaac is survived by his loving parents, father Montie Scott, and mother Xochitl Scott. He also leaves behind his loving sister Miranda Scott, and brother Liam Scott. Isaac is also survived by his grandmothers Amparo Macias & Paulette Newby, his aunts, Patty Morales, Maria Short, Leslie Sexton, Debbie Kinnamon, Patricia Keeter, Jeanette Hartman, and Sharon Sanders. He is also survived by his uncles Eleazar Macias, Gumercindo Macias Jr., Noe Macias, Jesse Macias, and Ronald Sexton. Other surviving family members include many cousins in Oklahoma City, OK, and Dallas, TX. Among them are Michelle, Jana, Kraig, Nelly, Liz, Becky, Israel, Joshua, Jessica, Alex, Eleazar Jr., Daniel, Andrea, Samuel, Jonathon, David, Christian, Annette, Lauren, Vivian, Jazmin, Alejandro, Leonardo, Julian, Ethan, Grace, Marcos, Nathanael, Kaitlin, Lucas, Mathew, Michael, Madilyn, Abigail, Aiden, Audrey, Abraham, Emi, Theo, Adelyn, Leslie, Leah, Emelyn Jo, Lianah, Judah, and Cora. Isaac was preceded in death by his great grandfathers Juan Navarrete, Ivan Sexton, and Arnold Braswell, and his great-grandmothers, Maxine Sexton, and Kay Braswell. He was also preceded in death by his grandfathers-Gumercindo Macias and Virgil Scott. Isaac professed his faith in Jesus Christ at the age of twelve at Heritage Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. In obedience to God, he was then baptized on September 5, 2011, in front of family and church by Jimmy Jackson. He went on to join his church youth group on mission trips every spring and summer. Isaac loved Jesus, his family, and his country. He was a sweet, caring, and loving son who brought laughter to his home. He was his sister’s best friend and confidant and his little brother’s hero and action figure buddy. He enjoyed Star Wars, Marvel, traveling, photography, movies, and music. Isaac had a compassionate heart and always sought to help others. His name represents what he did so well; he brought joy and laughter to those that knew him and into every room he entered. He was salt in a world in need of healing, light in a world of darkness and a blessing to anyone who met him. He was strong-willed yet caring, determined and compassionate, self-reliant, and quick to help others. He was hard working and sought justice for those in need. Not a day will go by that he will not be missed or thought of and loved always. “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139: 16 “For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.” Psalm 48:14 A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 3 at 3:00 PM at Apex Baptist Church, located at 110 S. Salem St. Apex, NC 27502 A graveside service will follow on Wednesday, August 4 at 11:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery located at 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
