David Edward White

David Edward White was born on September 15, 1957 in Patterson, NJ, to John and Gloria White. The devoted husband, loving father, and joyful grandfather was called to his heavenly home on March 29, 2024 at the age of 66. Although unexpected, Dave passed peacefully at his residence in Cary, NC. Dave is survived by his wife, Brenda, and his children Alex and Craig. He is also survived by his brothers Doug, Dennis, and Jack; his sisters Glorianne and Amy-Jane. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Gloria White and his brother Timothy. Dave was a proud grandpa to Tyson and Jameson White. He was also a loving father-in-law to Katy White and Danae White. Dave dearly loved his entire family and in-laws. Although Dave’s highest education was a high-school diploma, he used his debonair, relentless passion, and wit to climb his way up the ranks of the banking industry. Dave started out as a waiter and eventually became a hotshot salesman. Throughout the span of 40 years, Dave accumulated a vast amount of knowledge in Small Business Lending, ultimately landing the role of Regional VP of Sales. After his long tenure as a dominant force in his field, Dave decided to hang up his power suit and tie to begin retirement at age 65. Retirement was easy for Dave and he was content relaxing, reclining, mowing the lawn and roaming the neighborhood for friends to talk to. He was deemed “The Mayor of Penwood Dr.” If you needed finance counsel or where to buy a car, Mayor Dave was your expert. Dave was friendly, and fun-loving to family, friends and frankly anyone. Many young people considered him like a second father. Dave just loved people. In fact, he spent his remaining weeks sponsoring many struggling with addiction. Dave overcame his dependency for a remarkable 35 years and shared his testimony unashamedly. Dave was so sensitive. He would cry tenderly about his blessed life and the gratefulness for extra years. He would say often that he was gifted time because of his inherited heart condition. Mostly, Dave boasted about his faith and would tell you his triumphs and success in life came after he gave his life in 1998 to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He told his wife Brenda many times that he was not afraid to die and that he was ready when God was ready. We are here today because God said he was ready. Dave fought the good fight of faith and he finished his course. He is now and forever at peace. Rest well, good and faithful servant. Brenda-boo loves you!
